AI Control Room Advisor
The AI Agent helps Board Operators with Control Room decision-making – it monitors all variables in a Control Room (whether for a refinery, plant or for midstream operations), alerts for any possible violations or predicted violations of specifications, and gives AI recommendations, similar to an experienced Board Operator, to bring a plant back to stable and profitable operations. The recommendations can be initially open loop to gain trust and confidence.
AI Asset Advisor
The AI Agent acts like an AI advisor to reliability engineers and maintenance technicians for Asset Performance and Asset Management. It is the latest generation AI-native architecture that is easy to use and scale up, with great customer experience.
It helps monitor Asset Health & Predict Asset Failure, then gives (corrective and preventive) maintenance recommendations to correct or prevent the failure. The solution connects to third party CMMS systems for Work Order execution, and uses the results to refresh its predictions. Inputs include real time process variables, vibration data and analysis, GIS,
camera and video streams, IR camera streams and P&ID data. It includes FMEA and root cause analysis data.
We have developed the solution for rotating equipment e.g. centrifugal pumps and centrifugal compressors, and are extending it to turbines, generators and others.
A great advantage is that all data collected by the solution for its analysis will belong to the client.
AI Production Advisor
The AI Agent acts like an Advisor to planners and engineers to help update and optimize Production Plans for a refinery on a near real-time basis, to create a more accurate and optimal model. This allows for more accurate margin calculations and optimal targets.
The Current Challenge is that Production Plans (PP) for refineries, once created, remain fixed for the period and do not account for subsequent changes in assumptions, input data, and the crude and refinery ecosystem. Thus actual operating targets are far from being optimal.
We incorporate the latest available information to develop Production Plan updates based on changes in crude selection risk evaluation, changes in unit yields and parameters, developments/ delays in logistics, and latest information from emails, news streams, IOT sensors to update the PP.
Our approach is especially valuable in gauging effects of changes in global crude supply, availability of sour crudes and price fluctuations.
This real-time Production Advisor for Refineries is currently being developed. We welcome collaboration from petroleum companies to develop this product for their specific needs.
A similar real-time Production Advisor for chemical plants (e.g. ethylene manufacture) has been designed.
